Traffic signal equipment has pioneered the use of LED technology but when an unmetered inventory is updated traffic signal equipment can often be overlooked. LED traffic signal equipment provides low energy consumption and reliable equipment in a safety critical activity. We have recently assisted a customer to review and update their traffic signal inventory, their first update in several years. This update has enabled them to save around £50,000 per year, which equate to a 20% reduction in energy & carbon emissions.
To make it easier to review the traffic signal equipment our new inventory reports identify incandescent and LED equipment differently. Earlier in the year we revised our traffic signal guidance document, if you would like to see a copy then please contact us.
