Luton, Harvard and PDA partnership achieves real energy savings

Power Data Associates is pleased to be working with Luton Borough Council and Harvard to help them achieve significant energy and carbon savings. Luton was the first local authority to realise the benefits of Harvard’s ‘Install to Save’ finance scheme. Luton was able to utilise a Harvard package which provided the funding and supply of LeafNut CMS equipment. As with other invest to save schemes the repayments are based on actual energy consumption, the equipment costs and the Carbon Reduction Commitment savings that are achieved.

The payback is scheduled over 20 years and Luton is expected to reduce their energy costs by approximately £4 million. As their Meter Administrator we have worked closely with Luton and Harvard to ensure that their inventory is updated with the requisite information to ensure they realise the anticipated savings through the effective use of the LeafNut CMS.
